Sensors with high Precision for Crash-Tests and many other Tests
❖ New in our product portfolio are Current Probes the model line BST CU-xx. The applications are automotive Crash tests as well like many other car tests and applications.
❖ The BST CU-xx has a very small aluminium housing and can easily mount with a clap system around the measuring cable. Each connector type can be mounted at the very tough cable sensor cable. The sensor is available with Shunt and Dallas ID-Module.
❖ A measuring ranges goes from 15A and 40A for the small diameter, in the next step up to 1500A. The excitation is between 4.5VDCand 10.5VDC. The signal span is around 500mV at 10VDC supply. With this specification is the sensor very easy connectable to common data acquisition systems.
❖ Precise and reliable Gyro-Sensors with high-performance
❖ We have extended our product family. The new Gyro-Sensors type BST 83G are designed for applications in the automotive development, the testing and development of trains and trucks and last but not least also for measurements at wind wheels, skyscrapers or bridges.
❖ Due to their very small sizes the aluminium housed sensors can be easily mounted on difficult positions. Another useful advantage of the BST 83G is its rugged PUR cable that enables you to pass the sensor even through narrow spaces. The measurement ranges extend from 75 degrees per second (BST 83GxM) to 2700 degree per second (BST 83GxC). An unregulated supply voltage between 5 V and 28 V is possible. You receive an amplified and temperature compensated (-20° to 80°C) signal output. A triaxial mounting block for our very small uniaxial sensor is available.
❖ Bay SensorTec manufactures IMUs on the basis of capacitive and piezo-resistive technology. Both are accelerometers, whereby the capacitive sensors mainly cover small measuring ranges from +/- 1g to +/- 200g in the IMU-M and are temperature-compensated and signal-reinforced, which also applies to the rotation rate sensors. The gyrosensors’ measuring ranges start at 50°/s and will go up to 600°/s, other measuring ranges are available on request.
❖ The piezo-resistive sensors (full bridge) can be used in the IMU-C for automobile safety crash tests with measuring ranges up to+/- 2000g. The gyrosensors’ measuring ranges start at 900°/s and 1500°/s, other measuring ranges will follow shortly. These sensors have a differential output signal and can of course be equipped with Dallas and shunt.
For temperatures from -25° to 100° C, measurement ranges up to 200 g, and frequencies from 0 Hz to 2,5 kHz We deliver sensors for measuring accelerations at a measuring point of axles: The applications range from comfort applications to critical fields such as crash tests. For supposedly simple sensors with only one measuring axle, quality is all the more important. We use high-value cables and accessories from Germany, assemble them in accordance with your specifications, and calibrate them. Of course, we are also available for counselling and repair of capacitive sensors.
Our triaxial accelerometers combine three space and requirement dimensions: Design, precision, load capacity. They cover a large field of application and are adapted to the respective requirements: Various housings, cables in accordance with the requirements, and a calibration that encompasses our concentrated experience in measuring technology.
With a sensor weighing only 1 gram and hardly taking up any space in a dummy or vehicle, you have numerous possibilities for the measuring technology with crash tests and sled tests. Our piezo-resistive, uniaxial accelerometers can be easily mounted on a triaxial block in order to achieve standards with it.
Our sensors are very particular, even when the worst comes to the worst. Our piezo-resistive accelerometers are, among others, applied in vehicle safety tests and crash test dummies. Therefore they have to meet special demands:
IEPE (Integrated Electronics Piezo Electric) sensors by Bay SensorTec are easy to mount due to their compact cube or cuboid shape. The new triaxial sensors have proven themselves especially for recording measurement data in structure and modal analysis. With this model, too, Bay SensorTec is once again demonstrating its competence in terms of quality, reliability, and versatility of its vibration and oscillation sensors.
The facts and figures of the new triaxial accelerometers in small format by Bay SensorTec speak for themselves: Weighing only 6 grams or 11 grams, respectively, the Mini IEPE sensors cover a measuring range of 55 g - 550 g, generate a signal output of 10 mV/g and 100 mV/g, and require a constant current of between 2 mA and 20 mA. Their recommended application range is between -40° C and 120° C ambient temperature.
